Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving from Our Home to YOURS!!!

Katie and I assembling food to take to my sister's house (Still in my jammies)

Tony and Mari play while we get the food ready

Emilio watches Buddy the Elf (only Christmas movie I allow year-round!)

Anyone else have  someone who just doesn't do well with Holidays?  Holidays are very tough for some adopted and foster kids, loss is real!  This is pretty much how are "Special needs" daughter feels on special occasions.

This little "preemie" has grown up!  His 2nd birthday was the day before Thanksgiving!  One of the things I am most thankful for is that his parents are HEALTHY and that they continue to share him with us!  (Our .5 baby)

Oldest is willing to make numerous trips to my sister's house with the "stuff"

Dad and daughter carved the ham (Sis made the turkey)

Sister house.  I cook, she cleaned and set the table.

This China was passed down to me from my grandmother Helen...unbeknownst to us, Kevin's grandmother (Also named Helen) passed her china to us as well.  The crazy part?  SAME PATTERN!  And...I love love love it!  I have never seen anything I like better.  Thankful for those who have gone before!

Sister's kitchen.  Tons of food!

yummy

Mari is so. Stinkin'. cute!

Kids eat first.  Mari and Alondra wait patiently.

Katie was so much help.  Emilio is ALWAYS this silly

This takes the idea of a "kids" table even lower.  Littlest eat at the coffee table.  My sister starts Christmas very early

"Kids table"  I am not a fan of 2 tables, but my sister loves organization and one big table stretched across her house would freak her out

  2. Well, I think sometimes the kids enjoy their own table anyway because they get to enjoy each other's company and quite possible "get away" with much more than they would if they sat with the grown ups, LOL!

It looks like your family had a beautiful day!

  5. What a great celebration, except for the grief of your daughter {so painful to see, I'm sorry for her heartache on holidays, may God continue His healing work in her life.}. I loved that you were blessed with china - the same pattern from two different people. How cool is that? And your sister's kitchen is very pretty...I'm so partial to white kitchens. I am grateful to have been invited to your Thanksgiving - thank you!
